SOFTWARE & ANALYTICAL ENGINEERING

At Momentum Engineering, our team integrates software engineering principles (design, prototyping, development and maintenance) with data analysis techniques to gain analytic insights into new software features, capabilities and releases, while assessing opportunities for improvement throughout the software development lifecycle.   The team leverages data analysis tools and techniques like data visualization, statistical modeling, and machine learning to extract meaningful insights from collected data. Through these practices, our software engineers can identify potential issues early on, optimize code, and deliver higher quality software products for our customers and their missions.

IC Data Services
Data Engineering, Ontology Development & Ingest: Momentum engineers developed the Ingest Request process, data pipelines and transform engines leveraged to ingest 130+ IC sharable datasets into Big Data repositories and warehouses for analytic processing and mission discovery. These initiatives include: data entitlement development, data tagging, data management applications supporting data access / retention, systems security coordination and compliance engineering. Through data engineering leadership and the development of dozens of operational data quality and validation frameworks, Momentum provides data curation, quality, normalization and enrichment capabilities to attack the “garbage-in” problem for the DoD/IC and identify valuable data needed to support mission analytic and fusion needs.

Malware Modernization
Momentum Engineers are responsible for the development and design of the ingest framework and architecture supporting malware modernization. Our engineers are responsible for development of cyber analytic frameworks and signature development supporting enrichment processing for cyber data. In support of mission advancement, our engineers developed Jupyter notebooks and custom Python libraries to create dashboards that visualized clustering of cyber data based on machine learning algorithms and models working in collaboration with mission data scientists.
